Optical Inline-Measuring-System
At the fair AUTOMATICA 2008 in Munich the measuring specialist WENZEL launches an optical measuring system to verify components directly in the production process. Through the integration with the measuring software Metrosoft CM it is possible to inspect parts directly in the production line real-time. Using an intelligent camera system from ‘in-situ’ work pieces are checked within the cycle time of the production line. The measuring data can be uploaded immediately to the process controller.
The measuring software Metrosoft CM from WENZEL ensures the complete process control; it contains automatic identification of specific criteria of the work part via intelligent software and the intelligent camera system. Another requirement is the coordinated and immediate feedback of data within the production process (e.g. correction message to the production machine, allocation of relevant information for following processes, sorting, data handling, statistic etc.). Also important are low set-up times without manual contact.
