New manufacturing facility in USA
WENZEL Group dedicates new North American manufacturing facility in Wixom , Michigan, USA.
At dedication ceremonies held on October 9, 2007, Wenzel Group officially opened a new 24,000 square foot North American headquarters and manufacturing facility in Wixom, Michigan, USA. The new two-story building now houses all of Wenzel’s North American administrative and engineering offices, the production operation for bridge style CMMs, and a dedicated customer training and demonstration facility. A second facility that houses the recently acquired CMM remanufacturing operations of Wenzel Xspect Solutions is located nearby.

By this we achieved an important objective of our global growth strategy”, explained Frank Wenzel, managing director of Wenzel, in his remarks to the dedication ceremony attendees. “Currently we have a yearly production capacity of approximately 100 our smaller bridge-type CMMs”, stated Dr. Heike Wenzel-Däfler, „due to a efficient production and logistics system we are able to provide our CMMs very quickly.”
Keith Mills, president of Wenzel Xspect Solutions said, “When the Wenzel family made the decision to make an investment in North America as part of its growth strategy it made sense to acquire Xspect Solutions. We were the key sales and distribution outlet for Wenzel CMMs in North America. Xspect Solutions’ extensive CMM rebuilding and remanufacturing business had already established a comprehensive program of utilizing Wenzel CMM components and controls as part of that business activity, and that activity will remain as part of the Wenzel Xspect Solutions business model.”
