Acquisition of manufacturer of Optical CMM
Acquisition of leading manufacturer of Optical Scanning Solutions
The WENZEL Group GmbH & Co. KG, Wiesthal, agreed with Steintek GmbH from Greding, Germany, on a 100% takeover. Steintek GmbH is one of the technology leaders for the contactless inspection of complex parts e.g. turbine blades. With its high speed measuring- and digitizing-systems the company offers special solutions to the power generation and aerospace industries.
Frank Wenzel, Managing Director of WENZEL Group, sees the acquisition as an ideal supplement to WENZEL’s wide range of products: „With the new technologies from Steintek we push on the diversification of our extensive product line. With this we continue our innovation strategy consequently and make a further step to break into new markets.”
Klaus Mühlberger, Managing Director of Steintek GmbH, looks forward to work together with the worldwide sales and service network of the WENZEL Group: „The integration into the WENZEL Group brings great growth opportunities for Steintek. Together with WENZEL we can much better react to the increasing worldwide demands.”
Steintek GmbH will remain an independent legal entity within the WENZEL Group. „There are no changes for existing customers. All known contacts will remain in their current positions”, Dr. Heike Wenzel-Däfler, Managing Director of WENZEL Group, confirms.
