WENZEL remains on successful courses
Company management was able to announce especially happy news at the company meeting of the coordinate measuring equipment manufacturer WENZEL Präzision GmbH in Wiesthal on December 15, 2006: The Company will achieve the best company profits in 2006 since its establishment in 1968. A success has not only been achieved in the parent company in Wiesthal. The entire WENZEL Group with their eight subsidiaries can achieve a profit increase in the two digit range. The WENZEL Group is again assuming a profit growth in a two digit amount in 2007.
However, 2006 was not an easy year for the company, which was marked by the tragic loss of its company found, Werner Wenzel, in May. Acquisition offers that were presented to the company during the past year were rejected by company management. WENZEL is planning to pursue its expansion with their acquisitions.
The opening of the WENZEL assembly plant in Shanghai, the acquisition of the concrete and masonry plant as well as the delivery of the 5,000th WENZEL coordinate measuring machine were the positive highlights in 2006.
More than 30 Wenzel employees were honored regarding their company anniversaries within the scope of the company meeting. Berthold Rothenbücher, who has been a member of the Wenzel Company since the initial years of the company, was also honored for his 35 years of loyalty to the company. Berthold Rothenbücher, who started his training as toolmaker in 1971 at Wenzel, has been known for accuracy and precision for 35 years. “The more accurate, the better” is his motto; especially the younger colleagues gain from his comprehensive experience, since he is always available for support and advice.

WENZEL Präzision was founded in 1968 by Werner Wenzel and is still owned by the family today. Three-coordinate measuring machines are manufactured at their headquarters in Wiesthal (Spessart), which are needed to measure high-precision parts. Customers from the automobile industry, aerospace and mechanical engineering are among their major buyers. The company owns subsidiaries in Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, Great Britain, the USA, Singapore and China. The WENZEL Group employs approximately 380 employees worldwide.
